Tracey Thompson and Kelley McKissack are a mother and daughter who now share an even more special bond. In a labor of love, Tracey, age 54, offered to carry her grandchild for her daughter, Kelley, who struggled with infertility. Dr. Joseph Leveno, delivered Kelcey, a healthy baby girl, and worked diligently with the family to ensure a safe and happy outcome for all involved. Grandmother, mother, and baby are all healthy.

"I don’t even know where to begin explain how Dr. Leveno deserves more than a 5 star review.
My story started started with Dr. Leveno over 8 years ago, I would see him once a year for my yearly check up— little did I know at the time he would be someone that helped me tremendously in my dream to becoming a mom!
Shortly after my husband and I got married we decided to have a baby. After a while of trying we talked to Dr. Leveno, he set us up for all the appropriate test to make sure we were able to conceive. We learned that we were going to need the help of a fertility specialist.
We were able to conceive through the help of In vitro fertilization, but sadly all 3 times we found out we were pregnant we would suffer a miscarriage shortly after. Each time Dr Leveno would personally call me a few days later just to check in and remind me that he’s there if we need anything.
We suffered our final miscarriage in December 2014, and knew we had to find a different way of going about this as my body just didn’t seem to like being pregnant.
In January 2016, my mom stepped up and offered to be a surrogate for my husband and I. Since we already had embryos from IVF all we needed was clearance from my moms Dr’s. My mom and I talked to Dr. Leveno, and asked him for his medical opinion. After multiple test and exams he cleared my 53 year old mom for pregnancy!
On April 30, 2015, we transferred one of our embryos to my mom. On May 6, 2015 we found out my mom was pregnant with our daughter— and this started a whole new journey with Dr. Leveno.
Dr. Leveno took my mom through a seamless pregnancy. He found a way to always include me, and make me feel like I was just as much a part of this pregnancy as my mom was. Due to my moms age, we were at Dr. Leveno office more than the normal pregnancy, but we didn’t mind— everyone up there became family to us.
On January 6, 2016, Dr. Leveno delivered our 6lb 11oz miracle- Kelcey! We could not have asked for a better experience with pregnancy and care!
Our story doesn’t end there though. Dr. Leveno never gave up on helping me figure out why I couldn’t get past the 6th week of pregnancy. He went through my medical files from our fertility specialist and realize there was a test they didn’t run that he though was relevant to our case— so he sent me for a test to see if I have a blood clotting disorder! Turns out this test was positive for a clotting disorder, and could possibly be the thing that was keeping me from staying pregnant.
I am excited to say with treatment for a blood clotting disorder, I am back to seeing a lot of Dr. Leveno and his team as we await the arrival of our second daughter. If it weren’t for Dr. Leveno, I’m not sure this disorder would have ever been discovered, and I wouldn’t have this amazing opportunity to experience pregnancy.
Thanks to Dr. Leveno we have a beautiful, healthy 4 year old and in 5 months will be adding another baby girl to our family! This is why Dr Leveno deserves way more than just 5 stars!"
